AREAS OF PRACTICE

Steve is a full time mediator and arbitrator, and an ADR systems specialist. He is accredited as a mediator under the National Mediation Standard of Australia. He is also a facilitator and trainer of alternative dispute resolution and negotiation workshops with the Trillium Group, a division of the Stitt Feld Handy Group.

In May 2008, Steve was appointed to the National Alternative Dispute Resolution Advisory Council, an advisory body to the Attorney General of Australia on ADR issues.

He has mediated two-party and multi-party disputes in numerous contexts, including banking, finance, insolvency, debt recovery, employment, insurance, personal injury, commercial, native title, sports and sponsorships, construction, aviation, wills and estates, property and leases, rural and farm debt.

Steve also lectures and provides training around the world on mediation and dispute resolution. He has conducted training in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong and Malaysia. He teaches conflict management to MBA students at the Australian Graduate School of Management and is the Australian principal of The Trillium Group. He facilitates multi-party disputes and community consultation processes.
